If you need a Medical Second Opinion on a complex condition or are struggling to obtain a diagnosis, the expert case management connects you with a Personal GP Case Manager from Teladoc Health. They'll discuss your concerns, review your current diagnosis and treatment plan and where required, a world leading expert will provide their recommendations.
Your GP Case Manager from Teladoc Health will be with you throughout the whole process, helping to shape the conversation that ensures you receive the most effective and appropriate recommendations. They can help guide you with the best next steps to improve your recovery or help you make a more informed decision about your proposed treatment plan. They're there to guide and support you for as long as you need.
The service is aimed at the evaluation of cases involving serious or complex diseases. The most frequent types of cases are: oncological (cancer), health problems requiring surgery, neurological diseases, serious paediatric diseases and rheumatological diseases, among others.
You simply fill out the form and decide how you want Teladoc Health to contact you (by phone or by email). Your Personal GP Case Manager from Teladoc Health will then contact (usually within 3 working days) you to explain the process, which involves four steps:
You will need to gather you medical records which contain the necessary information about your case for your Case Manager from Teladoc Health to review.
A Clinical Committee will perform an initial review of the medical records and other documents you provide.
The Clinical Committee will begin the process of selecting the most experienced international medical experts in the relevant pathology.
Your Teladoc Health Case Manager will send your case to the selected experts and maintain telephone contact in order to discuss the specifics of the case with you (and with your treating physician, if desired).
